Daniel had to escape, two fast zombies were chasing him, he'd lost them at one point, but they were on his trail again, in the distance he could see some searchlights, he kept running towards them...

He had finally made it to the huge blast doors, and began hammering on them

"LET ME IN! THEY'RE COMING! SOMEONE!"

Luckily, and to his great surprise, it was opened by a rebel, who quickly drew his shotgun, and blasted the two zombies

"You'd better come inside"

Daniel Eccles, breathed a huge sigh of relief, and entered the big fortress...

What he found within was a massive, spralling town-within-a-city. Looking like the slums of a third-world country, two-man kill-teams patrolled the streets, more like the police of the Pre-combine world. They went about their busness, arbitrating any disputes they found. their were a large number of Vortigaunts as well, doing everything from lounging around, playing games, and working. A pair of the Warrior caste, usually rare and a bit hostile, stood at their posts at the top of the gate, Hivehands at the ready.

Hurridly, a woman approached him. She seemed important, with a single armed guard following her. "Excuse me, sir? Are you all right?" she asked, worried about his safety. She pulled out a small kit, and popped it open, pulling out some bandages incase he was hurt.

Buddy inwardly sighed.

"It seems that we are now at an impass. I continue to advocate the return to the fortress Haven before the Xennien storm let's loose its burden." he said, looking at the new arival like he didn't have a care in the world, the screams of fast zombies coming from everywhere.

And then they stopped. At first, no one noticed. But then, someones brought it up. Looking around, Buddy, scanned the roof-tops. He had no idea what was happening, but his sences told him something was very wrong.

"We are watched." he said, but before the words could fully leave his mouth, the side of a building exploded outwardly, a Gargantuan letting loose an agitated growl. He looked around, and when it spotted the group, let loose a menacing roar, stomping it's feet.

"I believe now would be the best opportunity at which to "Run for it".
