How do others view this character?
She is a quiet, intelligent individual who is constantly doing something to improve her mind and body. If people look at her closer they will see that she is slightly muscular due to her training in the gym but not enough to make her unattractive. She prefers to keep to herself but she will talk and hand out jelly babies to her work colleagues when she is in a talkative mood. She will happily go to the pub with people and talk about Scotland and her family but only if people ask her a direct question otherwise she will happily sit in the corner with a pint.
Her parents are extremely proud of her achievements, curricular and extra-curricular and understand when she can’t tell them about her current research due to the secret nature of her work. They will happily travel to America to see her but they are more pleased when she has time to come home to Scotland for proper food.

Character History:
She enjoyed her childhood in the Highlands of Scotland and picked up her fascination of the night skies from a young age. She also as a child started to be trained in the martial art of Taekwando and has kept this up to the present day. She excelled at school work hence being put up a year. She also enjoyed the chance to gain independence at university and loved the city life at Cambridge which partly encouraged her to do a second degree in mathematics to enhance her knowledge of theoretical physics.
She decided to take a break from her schooling and using some funds set aside by her parents and with their consent she went travelling for a year. She travelled across Scandinavia and Canada and developed a love of snowboarding, which she now pursues whenever she has any spare time at Aperture Science. After gaining this independence she decided to pursue a PhD in America, which led to Aperture Science gaining an interest in her to lend her genius towards their theoretical work in portals and other aspects of physics. After a year or so in America Alexis decided to add to her self defence skills and started to go to gun ranges to be trained with pistols.
Age: (6) Event: While at school the teachers discovered that Alexis was incredibly intelligent for her age and was thus put up a year in school. She also started a taekwando class due to a hatred of girly subjects like ballet.

Age: (21) Event: Completed her maths degree and started a year of travel to various Scandinavian countries where she gained a love of snowboarding.

Age: (25) Event: Finished her PhD and was offered a job at Aperture Science where she has been ever since.
