Tyrol hated the Police. Dear god, did he hate them. Before the Seven Hours war, they were annoying enough, but now with the extreme prejudice that the Combine put on any sort of law breaking, with littering being a capital punishment, someone like him was out of a job.

Way back when, in another life, he was a mobster, a hit man, and a pick-pocket. Those times were behind him, as he realized, face down on the floor as a CP padded him down. Sometimes, life really sucked more than it needed to, and right now Tyrol would have given anything for his old Street sweeper, "Jimmy".

Watching busts wasn't just a way of passing time for Kris; it was a way of searing into his mind the fate he'd make for himself if he wasn't careful - if he made just one wrong move. But this one seemed different. He couldn't say why but the guy they were patting down stood out to him.

So, without even knowing why, he stepped out of the second story window from which he had watched the proceedings below: three CPs; one patting down the guy and the other watching vigilantly, their batons charged and ready to deliver harsh Combine judgement to whatever scum came their way. At the last moment, he heard the hum and click of a scanner overhead and barely managed to turn, pulling the hood of his faded black jacket over his head and face even as the flash lit him up for the world to see.

And see, the world did. All three CPs had turned their attention towards him; it was now or never. Cursing under his breath he leapt from the ledge, landing atop the CP that had been patting down the guy, crashing to the floor atop him and rolling off.

His eyes darting between the remaining two CPs, Kris yelled to the guy "Fucking run! Don't bloody look back!" as he took off, sidestepping the CP that blocked his path with a practised finesse and sprinting along the alley. As he ran the sound of his new acquaintance's footsteps were close behind - at least something was working with this dumb-*** plan of his.

"I owe ya one man!" yelled Tyrol in his Brooklyn accent as he hauled *** after the other man who practically landed on one of the CP's. His ribs hurt, he was sure one of them was broken, but he tried to ignore it.

"So, got any other idea's?" he asked a subtle sarcasm to his voice "I sure hope you're not one of those Resistance guy's."

"Resistance? No way." Kris responded as he chanced a look over his shoulder, spotting the three CPs coming after them. "**** the greater good, I'm in it for myself." he ducked around a corner into an alley as he continued to call back at his new acquaintance; "As for ideas, I figure disappearing is a bloody good one."
